Nursing for the future
Nursing for the future works to strengthen cardiometabolic disease prevention and care capacity by improving the quality of nursing education. The project is part of the Novo Nordisk Foundation initiated programme Partnership for Education of Health Professionals (PEP).
Vision
People living in vulnerable positions in India and eastern Africa have equitable access to quality prevention of and care for cardiometabolic diseases.
Mission
Health professionals are equipped to provide quality prevention of and care for cardiometabolic diseases for people living in vulnerable positions, and female health professionals are empowered to prosper in their profession.
The partners in this project have similar mandates and core functions to provide nursing education for students in Denmark, India and Kenya. Even if they come from different educational traditions and health sectors, they share a number of common challenges and in this project, they have an opportunity to co-develop common solutions.
